Description

The Field Experience in Educational Anthropology provides an opportunity for future teachers and others interested in working with U.S. Mexican youth and families to learn about Mexican culture and schooling through a study-abroad hands-on classroom teaching and research project. For 3 course credits, participants will engage in teaching and research activities overseen by the Program Director at an affiliated Mexican high school, take Spanish classes provided by a local language school, and Educational Anthropology seminars provided by the Program Director. Participants will take a weekend excursion to the town of San Miguel de Allende during their visit, as well as enjoy a number of other leisure activities that the historic and vibrant city of Guanajuato has to offer.
