Objective
- Become familiar with the tools of Educational Anthropology and be able to apply them to a classroom context in order to make suggestions for improved teaching and learning practices, especially with regard to U.S. Mexican students.
- Gain a fuller understanding of the history and socio-economic influences of Mexican immigration to the United States
- Attain a higher level of Spanish proficiency
- Identify the general educational challenges facing bilingual and bicultural, specifically U.S. Mexican, youth in schools
