NIACC
North Iowa Area Community College
Welcome to the transfer guides designed by the departments in the College of Human Sciences. These plans are intended to be used by students attending North Iowa Area Community College who plan to transfer to Iowa State University in one of the majors in the College of Human Sciences.
The following are explanations and suggestions on how to use these Guides:
- In addition to the guide, there are curriculum sheets and Soar in Four worksheets to assist you in your planning. Click on the following link to view and/or download these documents. More
- Each plan is divided into requirement areas (as indicated on each curriculum sheet) and include both general education and specific curriculum requirements. Under each heading (i.e. Communication Skills) are listed NIACC courses that can be taken to fulfill some or all of the area requirements. In addition to the NIACC course designator, NIACC course titles and ISU course number and credits are listed.
- If the ISU equivalent is listed as "100-" or "200-", there is no direct ISU equivalent but the course will be used to fulfill the requirement.
These plans are to be used as guides only and should not replace consultation with an adviser. A major-specific ISU adviser is listed on each plan. Please feel free to contact them at any time.
