    • Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and offers many educational experiences for visitors. The Grand Palace complex is a showcase of the country and houses the temple of the Emerald Buddah carved from one piece of Jade, This temple is unquestionably one of the wonders of the world. Learn how elephants were rounded up and used during battles in ancient Siam amidst a historical background.

    South of Bangkok students will participate in a Thai cultural dance show. View the tropical flowers and observe major attractions including Thai boxing, wedding ceremony and sword fighting. Students will visit beautiful tropical gardens which abound in roses and orchids.

    Phi Phi island offers the students an opportunity to evaluate the impact of various tourist attractions. Students will visit Maya Bay where The Beach was filmed. A marine biologist will discuss the how the wet environment is affected by tourism. Opportunties to experience snorkeling, great scuba diving, kayaking and local boat trips demonstrates why this island is the destination of many tourists.

    A visit to Phuket provides additional visits to outstanding hotels, country clubs, and restaurants for comparison to the Bangkok hospitality environment, as well as US hospitality. Phuket is Thailand s largest island. Phuket nestles in balmy Andaman Sea waters on Thailands Indian Ocean coastline. Phuket has magnificent coves and bays and turn-of-the-century Sino-Portuguese architecture. Students will visit some of Phukets most famous beaches of Patong, Kata, and Karon.
